But as well as the hundreds of supplier stands to browse, you’ll also have many opportunities to hear presentations from industry influencers and experts on The Stage, where the many topics will include future industry trends, restaurant design, and the chefs skills shortage, a subject that we’ve covered recently on the Lockhart Catering blog. There will also be the chance to see the very best in emerging chef talent live in the famous International Salon Culinaire 2016, the largest and most prestigious chef competition in the UK which also incorporates 80 cookery classes over four days
.
In addition to that, The Staff Canteen Live – Skillery will be making its debut at Hotelympia 2016, with interactive and highly visual demonstrations from some of the industry’s most famous and respected chefs including Clare Smyth MBE, Chef Patron of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, as well as Tom Kerridge, Nathan Outlaw and Tom Aikens, to name a few. There will be a total of 20 Michelin Stars between the chefs in attendance, so be sure to take time out of your schedule to visit the arena to see these esteemed chefs in action.
But that’s just a taste of what’s in store at Hotelympia 2016, as there are many more demonstrations, presentations, conferences, events and seminars taking place over the four days – for a full list, take a look at What’s On at Hotelympia.
Don’t forget that the action begins even before the event itself, with The Hotelympia 10k Run in aid of the Springboard charity taking place the day before Hotelympia opens. Lockhart Catering Supplies are a proud sponsor of the Hotelympia 10k, so we’re looking forward to seeing you all at the finish line!
